Queensland’s Labor government has unveiled a suite of new policies that will open the way for thousands more homes in the Sunshine State – including the largely untapped rental market – to gain access to rooftop solar and battery storage and cut their electricity bills.

‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member GCL System Integrated Technology (GCL-SI) has secured its first order in Australia for its recently launched ‘Super 2.5 MW Solar Block’ modular plant system from Australian-based power station developer APSU Power.

Technology provider ABB has partnered with Spanish IPPP ACCIONA that will see ABB provide its central inverter solutions for the 246MW El Romero Solar Plant in the Chilean desert.

The Chinese module maker will provide local engineering company WEG with its GCL-P6/72 325W panels.
