Global Player IBC Solar will receive 60 MW polycrystalline solar modules from GCL before the end of the year.

The pioneer of floating solar power plants, French company Ciel & Terre (C&T) International has collaborated with Portuguese energy firm EDP (Energias de Portugal) Group to design and build the first floating solar project at an existing hydro-electric power station at a dam located at the mouth of Rabagão river in Montalegre, Portugal.

Four new large-scale solar farms totalling 275MW of grid-connected capacity have been approved by the New South Wales government.

A 15MW solar project has been connected to the grid by Sunshine Coast Council in Queensland, Australia, making it the first local government in Australia to offset 100% of its electricity consumption with renewables, the council claims.
